Salt Production

- Salt Works

| Deep underground is the workplace of the miners of the Salt Mine. They produce brine, a salt-water solution, by pumping it up with fresh water from the ground. This solution is processed further in the salt works. | ![]() |
| The Salt Works receives the brine solution from the salt mine as well as the coal from the charcoal burner's hut. By boiling the brine solution, the important salt is separated from the water. While a pipe collects the salt into a barrel, the water is evaporating through the small chimney. The coal provides the necessary heat to ensure the success of the work. The salt then continues its journey through the economic cycle to the tannery. | ![]() |
